The number of Sumatera Utara Tourists in February 2020 was 15,367 visits

The number of foreign tourists visiting Sumatera Utara through 4 (four) entrances in February 2020 reached 15,367 visits, a decrease of 25.18 percent compared to those arriving in January 2020 which reached 20,539 visits. Similarly, when compared with the same month in 2019, the number of foreign tourists in February 2020 decreased by 34.20 percent, from 23,354 visits in February 2019 to 15,367 visits.

 

In February 2020, tourists from Malaysia were the most visitors with 7,199 visits or 46.85 percent of the total foreign tourists visiting Sumatera Utara.

Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of five-star hotels in Sumatera Utara in February 2020 reached an average of 45.24 percent, down 2.82 points compared to January 2020 of 48.06 percent.

 

The average length of stay of foreign and Indonesian guests in star hotels in February 2020 reached 1.53 days, or up 0.08 points compared to January 2020 which reached 1.41 days.

 

The number of domestic passengers departing from Sumatera Utara through Kualanamu International Airport during February 2020 reached 227,602 people, down 21.20 percent compared to January 2020 which reached 288,819 people.

 

The number of inter-island (domestic) sea transport passengers departing in February 2020 was 9,788 people, down 54.14 percent compared to the previous month of 21,342 people.
