Abstract
FTT is one indicator to see the level of
ability / purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the
exchange power (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and
services consumed as well as for production costs.
In February 2020, the Sumatera Utara Province
NTP (2018 = 100) was 111.71, down 1.74 percent compared to the January 2020 NTP
which was 113.69.
The decrease in FTT in February 2020 was due to
the decline in FTT in the Food Crop subsector by 0.13 percent, FTT in the
People's Plantation Plant subsector by 3.29 percent, FTT in the Livestock
subsector by 1.29 percent, and FTT in the Fisheries subsector by 1.71 percent.
While the Horticultural Subsector NTP rose by 2.23 percent.
Changes in the Household Consumption Index
(IKRT) reflect the rural inflation / deflation rate. In February 2020, rural
inflation in Sumatera Utara occurred at 0.54 percent. This was caused by the
rise in the household consumption index in 8 consumption groups.
Sumatera Utara Province Agricultural Exchange
(NTUP) in Sumatera Utara Province in February 2020 was 112.53 or decreased by
1.51 percent compared to NTUP the previous month.
