Abstract
Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is a comparison of
the price index received farmers (It) against the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
FTT is one indicator to see the level of
ability / purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows power terms of trade of agricultural
products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
In April 2020, the Sumatera Utara Province NTP
(2018 = 100) was recorded at 106.41, down 2.74 percent compared to the March
2020 NTP which was 109.41.
The April 2020 decline in FTT was caused by the
decrease in FTT in all subsectors, namely the FTT of the Food Crop subsector by
0.53 percent, the Horticultural Subsector FTT by 1.10 percent, the FTT of the
Plantation Plant subsector by 4.46 percent, the FTT of the Livestock subsector
by 1, 83 percent, and Fisheries subsector NTP of 1.51 percent.
Changes in the Household Consumption Index
(IKRT) reflect the numbers rural inflation / deflation. In April 2020, rural
deflation occurred in Sumatera Utara by 0.01 percent. This was caused by the
decline in the household consumption index of the food, beverage and tobacco
group by 0.11 percent.
Sumatera Utara Province Agriculture Exchange
(NTUP) in April 2020 was 106.86, down 2.92 percent compared to NTUP in the
previous month.
