Abstract

In December 2024, there was year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Gunungsitoli Municipality of 3.10 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.58.
Inflation y-on-y occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: education group by 10.26 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 9.43 percent; personal care and other services group by 7.72 percent; health group by 3.92 percent; food, beverage and tobacco group by 3.74 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 3.34 percent; transportation group by 2.88 percent; household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group by 1.66 percent; and clothing and footwear group by 1.40 percent. Deflation y-on-y occurred due to a decrease in prices indicated by a decrease in the housing, water, electricity and household fuel index by 0.14 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group by 1.56 percent.
The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate in December 2024 was 1.47 percent and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate in Gunungsitoli Municipality in December 2024 was 3.10 percent.
