Abstract

In October 2024, there was year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Gunungsitoli Municipality of 2.30 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.04.
Inflation y-on-y occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: education group by 10.26 percent; personal care and other services group by 8.40 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 8.37 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 3.18 percent; food, beverage and tobacco group by 2.94 percent; health group by 1.95 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.07 percent; and household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group by 0.20 percent. Deflation y-on-y occurred due to a decrease in prices indicated by a decrease in the information, communication and financial services expenditure group index by 1.46 percent; transportation group by 0.44 percent; and the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 0.11 percent.
The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate in October 2024 was -0.27 percent and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate in Gunungsitoli Municipality in October 2024 was 1.62 percent.
