Abstract

In April 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Gunungsitoli Municipality will be 3.93 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.78.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: transportation group by 10.20 percent; food, beverage and tobacco group at 5.85 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 5.40 percent; personal care and other services group at 5.32 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 5.17 percent; education group by 1.76 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.75 percent. Y-on-y deflation occurred due to a decline in prices as indicated by a decline in the clothing and footwear group index of 1.24 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.57 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.23 percent; and the health group at 0.04 percent.
The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate in April 2024 was -0.21 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Gunungsitoli Municipality in April 2024 was 1.37 percent.
