Abstract

In June 2024, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Gunungsitoli City will be 3.48 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.00.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: transportation group by 6.08 percent; personal care and other services group at 5.79 percent; food, beverage and tobacco group at 5.63 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 5.40 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 4.86 percent; education group of 1.76 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.62 percent; health group by 0.25 percent; and the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.23 percent. Y-on-y deflation occurred due to a decline in prices as indicated by a decline in the clothing and footwear group index of 1.04 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 1.01 percent; and the equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group at 0.56 percent.
The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate in June 2024 is 0.10 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Gunungsitoli City in June 2024 is 1.58 percent.
