Abstract

In July 2024, there was year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Gunungsitoli Municipality of 1.86 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.65.
The y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: recreation, sports and culture group by 8.37 percent; personal care and others group by 6.49 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 5.53 percent; food, beverage and tobacco group by 2.64 percent; education group by 2.10 percent; health group by 2.08 percent; household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group by 0.67 percent; and housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 0.35 percent. The y-on-y deflation occurred due to a decrease in prices indicated by a decrease in the transportation group index by 1.44 percent; information, communication and financial services group by 1.11 percent; and the clothing and footwear group by 1.04 percent.
The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate in July 2024 was -0.33 percent and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate in Gunungsitoli Municipality in July 2024 was 1.25 percent.
